What this site is — and is not

This site publishes self-serve calculators and reference information. It does not provide advice, consultations, case handling, or any form of personal assistance. If your situation is complex, bring the numbers to Revenue, Citizens Information, or a qualified professional.

Where the numbers come from

Every statutory rate, band and credit is read from a versioned data file whose entries each carry an official source link, the exact page section the figure was taken from, its effective date and the date it was retrieved. The full list is on the Sources page. Where an official worked example exists, a calculator must match it before publication; where none is published, its test cases are constructed from the official rates and labelled accordingly.

How the site is funded

The site is free to use. It may show advertising and clearly marked affiliate links. Advertising never changes a calculation result.

Corrections

If you believe a published figure is wrong, please send the correction with an official source via the Contact page. Factual corrections are reviewed against official publications.
