Privacy policy

The short version

Everything you type into a calculator stays in your browser. Inputs and results are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising trackers; it counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless measurement described below.

Who is responsible

IrishPayCalc (https://irishpaycalc.com) is published by an independent individual operating from Taiwan, who is the data controller for the limited processing described on this page. Write to [email protected] for any privacy matter — including a request for access, correction, erasure, restriction or objection, and including a request for the controller's identity and contact details, which are supplied on request. Privacy queries are one of the categories the contact inbox answers.

This site holds no account, no login and no customer record. The only personal data it is involved with at all is (a) the cookieless visit measurement described below, and (b) whatever you choose to put in an email to the address above, which is kept only until the matter is closed.

Calculator inputs

Calculations run entirely client-side in your browser. Figures you enter (salary, benefits, dates) are processed locally and discarded when you leave the page. They are not stored, logged, or sent to any server.

Hosting and server logs

The site is served by Cloudflare, Inc., which processes technical request data (such as IP addresses) as necessary to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Cloudflare acts as a processor for this purpose; see the Cloudflare privacy policy for details.

Visit counting (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

To see how many people use the site and which pages they visit, each page loads a small measurement script from Cloudflare (Cloudflare Web Analytics). In Cloudflare's own words, it "does not use any client-side state" — no cookies, nothing kept in your browser — "to collect usage metrics", and it does not "fingerprint" individuals via their IP address, User Agent string, or any other data for the purpose of displaying analytics — see Cloudflare's Web Analytics page. It reports aggregate figures such as page views and visits; nothing you type into a calculator is ever part of that data. Cloudflare processes those figures for us under the Cloudflare privacy policy linked above.

Advertising and consent (not yet active)

If advertising is introduced, a consent notice will be shown to all visitors before any advertising cookies are set. You will be able to refuse, and every calculator will keep working after refusal. Your consent choice would then be stored on your device as a strictly necessary preference. This policy will be updated before any such change takes effect.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission ( dataprotection.ie ). Because this site does not collect personal data about you, in most cases there is nothing held to act on — but you can always ask at the address above.
